Revamping State Representative Ian Kidd's Campaign Website
I was contracted by the campaign for Ian Kidd, a candidate running for the 81st District of the Pennsylvania State House, to revise their Wordpress website's layout and functionality and add new pages, written content, and images in order to improve engagement with potential voters in their district.
One major change I made was to make the Donate button larger and brighter on the main page and add the button to all other pages to make the process of donating to the campaign more prominent and easier to access.
I added images of the logos of each organization that endorsed Kidd's campaign to the Endorsements page for more visual appeal. I also directly linked the images on the New 81st District page and the Endorsements page to the Spotlight PA website's redistricting tracker and each endorsement organization's website so that visitors to the website could more easily access the websites and read more about them.
I built new pages for the website that explained Kidd's positions on major issues facing the district, outlined his vision for the future of the 81st district, and highlighted key endorsements Ian received from voters in the district.
As a result of these and other updates I made to the campaign website, voters can more easily navigate the website, learn more about Ian Kidd as a candidate and the important issues and goals driving his campaign, and actively support the campaign with donations if they desired.
